Growing up in the coastal southern town of Gloucester, Virginia and following in her father’s footsteps as a chef, Jennel’s natural affinity of the sea, sailing and food led her to a life of cooking on the open ocean. Jennel has prepared food for high-profile clients on prestigious sailing and motor yachts, in their homes, on private aircraft and corporate settings. Most recently, she became a landlubber and has continued her culinary career in the Bay Area of California, Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Jennel has been a private chef for over 20 years and has received formal culinary training at the acclaimed Institute of Culinary Education in New York City receiving diplomas in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. She has studied privately with esteemed chefs in Thailand, Greece, Spain and Mexico and has worked in top restaurants in New York City, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Antigua, West Indies. Jennel brings these experiences, along with many years in floating galleys, onto your private yacht, vacation villa, or home; creating a five-star dining experience.
